Named for places

Every collection begins with a destination.

Louvre's clean emerald cuts. Como's single, quiet solitaire. Roma's halo of light. Each Artefact Day collection takes its name — and its mood — from a place we love.

How we make it

Sterling silver and ethically sourced gemstones.

Every piece is crafted in high-quality sterling silver, finished to resist tarnish while keeping its bright, signature shine.

Travel · History · Architecture

Inspired by the cultures of the world's most beautiful places.

Artefact Day began with travel — with domes, arches and old stone streets, and the photographs we brought home from them. History, architecture and the light of a place are where every collection starts.

Below are a few of those places, and the pieces they inspired.

Collection 01

Roma

Rome, Italy · The Pantheon

Nearly two thousand years old, the Pantheon's dome is ringed by row after row of coffers, all leading the eye to a single circle of open sky at its center.

The Roma halo follows the same idea: a ring of small white sapphires drawn around one center stone, so the light gathers in the middle.

Collection 02

Santorini

Cyclades, Greece · Oia

Whitewashed walls, blue church domes and the Aegean below — Santorini is a study in white and blue, softened by evening light.

Santorini pairs a lustrous freshwater pearl with a halo of white topaz: the white of the village, and the shine of the sea at dusk.

Collection 03

Marrakesh

Morocco · Ben Youssef Madrasa

Inside the Ben Youssef Madrasa, every surface is patterned — zellige tiles, carved cedar and stucco fine as lace, built up from thousands of small pieces.

Marrakesh brings that detail to jewelry: a center stone framed by micropavé, tiny white sapphires set close together like a mosaic.

Collection 04

Louvre

Paris, France · The Louvre

A former royal palace with a modern glass pyramid in its courtyard — the Louvre sets clean geometry against centuries of history.

The Louvre collection uses the emerald cut: long, step-cut facets and straight lines that reflect light in clear, even flashes.

Bali

Indonesia · Pura Ulun Danu Beratan

The tiered shrines of Ulun Danu Beratan rise from the edge of a mountain lake, surrounded by gardens, mist and water.

These earrings carry the same calm: three white sapphires gathered into one small, bright cluster, made to be worn every day.

Collection 06

Cairo

Egypt · The Pyramids of Giza

The pyramids of Giza have stood for more than four thousand years — a reminder that the most lasting designs are often the simplest.

Cairo is our collection of classics: pearls, among the oldest gems people have treasured, strung in a single, timeless line.

Collection 07

Como

Lombardy, Italy · Lake Como

Lakeside villas, still water and mountains behind — Lake Como has drawn travelers for centuries with its quiet, unhurried elegance.

Como is a single solitaire. One stone, simply set, in the clear blue of the lake — aquamarine takes its name from the Latin for "sea water".

Collection 08

Positano

Amalfi Coast, Italy

Houses stacked down the cliffside to the sea, lit up as the sky turns from blue to violet at dusk.

Positano captures that hour in Malibu blue sapphire — a soft blue-green, set as petite studs for every day.
